Get cleared through Prison Fellowship and go inside monthly with the same crew, so the men in that unit see the same faces instead of a rotating cast.
What you'll need
- Prison Fellowship volunteer training and a state background check
- A clear ID and patience with the clearance process, which takes weeks
- The same two or three guys, every month
Pitfalls
- Start the paperwork now. Clearance is slow and most people quit during it.
- Consistency is the entire ministry. Missing months does real damage.
- Follow the dress and contact rules to the letter. One violation ends it for the whole team.
